My article on Generative AI is out.
Breaking down what industries and companies stand to benefit most and what the future of generative AI might look like.
From cloud players: $MSFT, $GOOGL, $AMZN to data companies and semiconductors.
Tomorrow I am posting an extensive article in my newsletter on the most interesting AI & LLM investments.
- the impact of generative AI on the economy
- a breakdown of the sectors, subsectors & companies that are benefiting from this new trend
- industry insider insights &…
Former $META researcher:
- Custom ads with generative AI will help $META
- Estimates that with new AI $META will be able to cut costs by 10-15%.
- The big tech companies are going to be even stronger & selling access to output like OpenAI does is not going to do well.
A very insightful interview!

Shortly after password Crackdown, $NFLX had highest rate of sign-ups since Antenna began tracking data in 2019 - WSJ
Could have seen it coming…
Rihard Jarc
Not that long ago $NFLX was an endless cash burning business today they reported $2.1B in FCF in Q1.
With the crackdown on password sharing, ad tier maturing and AI helping reduce costs of content production the business might become a cash printer.
Zuckerberg’s internal comments on the $AAPL Vision Pro headset by the Verge.
Key points:
- no new tech that $META doesn’t have
- fundamentally different approach. $META wants people to be connect and active & $AAPL demo showing only people doing stuff alone on their couch.
$SOFI back above $8.
Even though the company is growing top line like no other financial firm and has a pure software business with Galileo and Technisys inside of it the market had treated it the same as a pure bank stock. That is wrong IMO.
Also Noto lived up to the high…
Morgan Stanley's survey in April showed 74% of $META Instagram users use Reels, up from 69% in September 2022 and 62% in March 2022.
At the same time, TikTok "flattening".
All recent data points to $META successfully pulling out the $SNAP Stories playbook on TikTok.
Zuck must be so happy right now.
- $AAPL just "confirmed" the future hardware platform is AR/VR.
- The $AAPL headset doesn't have any supernatural capability over Quest. It is actually plugged into a battery with a cord.
- To top it, it's priced at $3499. DAMN.
I wonder if today's $AAPL event and Apple going into AR/VR will drive a new mainstream tech trend for AR/VR similar to what ChatGPT did for AI.
$AAPL certainly has probably the most media reach, so everyone will hear about it.
With new tech, timing is everything.

Former Head at $META:
- WhatsApp is still very unmonetized, believes $META should be jumping all in monetizing; users already used to a lot of commerce on WA
- AI fits well with WA
- Growth at $META vs $GOOGL & not worried about TikTok; the same playbook as was with $SNAP
My highest conviction company right now for the long run is $AMZN. It is also my biggest position.
They are in a perfect position both in terms of:
- e-commerce, with a delivery logistics physical moat
- cloud within a 3 way oligopoly industry
- ad sector with a clear intent…

Two interesting nuggets from a former VP at GCP / $GOOGL.
Contrarian takes to what most believe:
- Cybersecurity on the cloud is not a monetizable opportunity. Users expect there to be security by default.
- selling GPUs might be a race to the bottom
Very insightful interview.
