Ulta Beauty ($ULTA): Waiting for Strategic Clarification : When I started to analyze Ulta Beauty (ULTA) my first feeling was “this is probably a great opportunity: a nice business with its stock trading down ~30% from its peak and at one of its lowest PE ratios over the last years (or even decades)”.

Madison Dearborn Takes APM Back Into The Fold: APM Human Services (APM AU) and US PE-outfit Madison Dearborn Partners, holding ~30%, have entered a Scheme at A$1.45/share, in cash. That's a 74.7% premium to undisturbed; and a $0.05/share increase over Madison Dearborn's April 8th A$1.40/share NBIO, a price the Independent Board Committee (IBC) previously considered disappointing.
Closing Nameson: Short and sweet, closing Nameson holdings (1982:HK) here, stock is up 43% on no news, and trading at 5.5x 2024 earnings and a likely 13% dividend yield. I wouldn’t put a higher PE multiple than 5-6x on a stock like this, given that they are a no growth knitwear exporter with significant customer concentration. Was a nice quick trade that worked out faster than expected. Chinese stocks are treating me very well so far.
