“What’s happening here is we’re just throwing something in the air and hoping something sticks, which doesn’t make sense. And it’s putting me and all the CAURD individuals in a bad financial place.”
“I’m not sure if we could, given the composition of this Congress, that we can get anything passed that would make sense,” she said. “We probably should have done it last year when [Democrats] were in control, but we didn’t.”
UPDATE: Clearing up confusion caused by a pair of remarks from Senate Banking Committee Chairman Sherrod Brown on timing for a vote on a cannabis banking bill, his office tells Marijuana Moment that "the committee will markup SAFE Banking soon."
I asked @SenSherrodBrown if #SAFEBanking may get a markup in the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee soon.
His response: "No. I never said that."
He said there will be markups on 3 bills next week "and sometime in the near future will be SAFE banking, we hope."
This Beaten Up Cannabis ETF Is Not Attractive $MSOS
"MSOS is down a lot, but we don't think investors should buy it. For those that can buy its holdings, we think some of them are a much better bet."
At its peak in early 2021, Canopy’s market value topped $25-billion. With its close at $1.14 per share Friday, the company is worth about $600-million.
A 30% YoY decline in prices is tough to handle in any environment, but the fact that it happened during a period of high inflation was extra brutal (all costs going up - labor, utilities, hardware, etc)
$CXXI deserves more respect. In a sector full of cash-burning shitcos, this is one of the few financially-responsible company that stands out from the rest along with $GTII

This is what a desperate bagholder looks like. @bellogram2 calls others "beta males" and "feminine" but can't even assume his own responsibility for his losses like a grown-up man. He tries to sound smart and confident until you start fact-checking the bullshit he's spewing.
@bellogram2 @RyanFeola1 Greed knows no limits. And the shorts in this sector are funded/backed by very strong allies with an interest in acquiring large positions in this sector at the best possible price. Sharks everywhere.
$TLRY chose dilution instead of using the cash on the balance sheet to pay down debt. Why? Because they want to continue overpaying to buy more money-losing companies like $HEXO
Result: 20% loss in market cap for convertible notes that would have caused only 10% share dilution🤦♂️
Didn't see this coming, at least in #Massachusetts.
As part of what it calls "optimization efforts," $TCNNF Trulieve #Cannabis closing a retail operation in Grover Beach, CA, and ending operations in Massachusetts by the end of 2023. 🤷
