This revenue chart is from Teradata, a software company that got disrupted by Snowflake. Its TTM revenue peaked in 2014.
Snowflake called out in 2018 their cloud data warehouse delivers 100,000% cost savings against Teradata. A blog fight between the two ensued.

I believe every SaaS company dreams one day they'll have a customer cohort growth chart similar to Service Now's one.
One caveat: the annual growth rates in the chart are weirdly not compound growth.

“We've started reversing one of the most important trends for the company and our users, which is how we're doing with young adults on Facebook in the US and Canada," said Meta CPO in the latest company all-hands.

“There’s a real philosophical difference in terms of how we’re approaching this,” Zuckerberg, who, in contrast to Cook, can’t be stopped from wearing his headsets in photos, told employees at the Thursday meeting.

Not sure Apple is competent enough to build the AI/ML heavy software stack before Vision Pro ships early next year.

Apple clearly lacks depth in AI/ML software. To compensate for that, its AR headset may have to use more cameras and sensors and suffer from a high manufacturing cost.

Zuck gave an interesting data point in this interview while answering layoff-related questions.
A manager at Meta, on average, managed between 3 and 4 (close to 3) people before the mass layoffs.
That demos one of Meta's cultural traits, being data-driven.

Here's my conversation with Mark Zuckerberg, his 2nd time on the podcast. We talk about the future of AI at Meta, Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, both near-term open source development of AI and the journey of human civilization toward building AGI.
@AlphaSeeker84 The computing power and storage serving Apple customers are mostly decentralized on Apple devices( iPhone, iPad, and Mac). The customers eat the hardware cost.
While Meta customers are served by centralized computing power and storage in Meta's data centers.

How does META spend $27B more in capex than AAPL sine 2016?
Each hyperscaler has its own winning area over others. AWS's strength is in IaaS, Azure dominates OLTA, and GCP is winning in OLAP.
Azure has the most balanced revenue streams.

Zuck must be so happy right now.
- $AAPL just "confirmed" the future hardware platform is AR/VR.
- The $AAPL headset doesn't have any supernatural capability over Quest. It is actually plugged into a battery with a cord.
- To top it, it's priced at $3499. DAMN.
Apple Vision Pro is a really fancy display on your face. It has nothing to do with VR. There is no realtime rendered 3D immersive world at all. While that's Mate Quest's strength.

ChatGPT can be prompted to do Chain-of-Thought to solve non-trivial math problems. Its training data must include reasoning steps to significant degrees.
I can imagine training data with step-by-step reasoning will be much more valuable than that with only direct answers.
A transformer paper shows it's required to feed LLMs step-by-step training data to solve multi-hop reasoning tasks, like dynamic programming and math equations.

Zuck's plan B should be to suck up to Tim and put Meta's 3 billion user App suite on Apple's new shiny devices, in case Apple headset becomes a huge success. $AAPL $META
It seems to me Tim just wants a conclusion for their long struggling AR headset project. A ridiculously high price would make a good excuse for likely low adoption even among Apple's die-hard fans.
